Chicago, IL (March 17, 2021) - Fresh off her second consecutive victory over future Hall of Famer, Cecilia Braekhus, undisputed welterweight champion, Jessica McCaskill is looking to fight the biggest names on the female circuit.

McCaskill of Chicago, easily outpointed the legendary Braekhus by scores of 100-89, 99-90 and 98-91 to win her fifth consecutive and raise her record to 10-2.

"I felt my aggression was really good, just keeping the pressure non-stop, and we are ready for what is next. She was running in, and crowded herself, and I figured if she was going to run in, I would have to get at least one or two shots off, and she kept doing it, so I kept doing it as well. I wanted to move and show some more angles, but she kept coming straight in, so she was right there," said McCaskill.

"A fight with Katie Taylor might be the next thing on the agenda. If that is what it is, that would be great. If that does not work out, then there are a couple of other names out there. As for Claressa Shields, McCaskill thinks a fight with her can happen, "That could be a possibility if Claressa could come down to 147 pounds. At first, she said that she would not give up any weight, and now she is saying she would, so we are just going to have to see if they are going to take this seriously."

Said McCaskill's promoter, Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing, "Jessica proved yet again that she is one of the top fighters in the world. She has now dominated the fighter that has been the long-time pound for top boxer. We would love to fight anyone, and a fight with Katie Taylor would most certainly have a different outcome then their first fight. Fights with Taylor or Claressa would be historic fights as it would match two of the reigning undisputed champions against each other."

She deserves them all. Her recent Cinderella Woman run, going from having a 5-2 record to suddenly having pairs of victories over both Érica Farías and Cecilia Brækhus over a 5-0 world championship run?? That's queen bee ish. No man - I repeat no man - in the sport is currently on a run that simultaneously impressive and unexpected/outta nowhere.

She deserves to have the industry clout to drain Shields down to welter and get every A-side concession to leave no doubt that she knocks that overrated unskilled weight bullying hag spark the **** out, cross-eyed and drooling on the canvas, humiliated and posterized so badly we never see her lace up again.

She's incredibly crude and lacking in technique but so are most women boxers.

Taylor took a beating from Persoon who fights very similair to McCaskill. Taylor is strong, but she has problems with pressure and high workrate. McCaskill would beat her up even worse. It would be a different fight than 2017.

Draining Shields down to 147 to gain advantage? Creating a female Clenelo?
    Sad.

Oh you skipped that semester in Applied Ethics? Doing a generally bad thing which solely harms a categorically bad person is, by converse property, a good thing. :D

Well, the enemy of my enemy is the enemy of my friend, if you know what I mean.

Shields weighs 165 pounds, draining her down nearly 20 pounds to make a buck is not only ridiculous but unhealthy as well. Put 10 pounds on the little slugger and take 10 pounds off Shields and fight at a catch weight and that's fair.

    They are both unwatchable anyway.

I will never understand the hate for shields and her heel-act. guys like mayorga were liked for doing the same thing, plus the way she conducts herself is no different than teofimo lopez, gervonta davis, david benavidez, etc.

El Matador was actually entertaining, and had more (underrated) skill. This clown has nothing to back up her low-level trash-talk except an edge in physicality over most of her opponents. She isn't even all that athletic in general outside being brawny, not like she moves like RJJ or anything. And she couldn't craft her way out of a kindergarten art room, going up against a female boxer with even a moderate ring IQ and the size, chin and athleticism to hang her with her she will get schooled silly.

She's decent. deserves a rematch with Tayor up at 147. Would be another Yank beating a Brit though....

it is what it is. its a two way, shields dosent have the forrest/vargas/de la hoya to produce entertainig fights , decarie and hammer were more interested in hopping around and finish the fight rather than boxing. Also , she benefits from her size the same way more male boxers do. she , along with mccaskill, taylor, marshall etc. , is part of the first generation of quality female boxers, as long as they stay active more and more quality boxers will appear and then will be able to tell if shields was very good or simply benefitted from the still shallow talent pool.
