sounds like a good card, I just hope they aren't fighting punching bags and it's not a showcase card. usually shobox is better than that but who knows.

 

ya I was surprised when i watched it 2 weeks ago. They had 4 undefeated fighters all fighting against each other

 

i dont see the hype with jessie vargas, he's boring and he sucks.

 

Ugly flier, cheap tickets though. Would go if I lived in Vegas.

I disaree. Vargas looked very average in his last fight. I'd say he's still at the minimum 3-4 fights and a couple years from fighting for a belt with the realistic chance of winning. I certainly wouldn't favor him over:
Judah
Maidana
Garcia
Khan
Alexander
Matthyse
Soto
Peterson
Alvarado
or Bradley

He hasn't even had 20 fights, and is young. Too soon. Not even sure he'd beat Morales at 140.

 

Vargas was getting beat till he started ripping Lopez to the body and turned the fight around. I wasnt all that impressed but he made the adjustments and couldnt miss the left hook body shot. Tough fighter but needs a lot of work

 

Its only two weeks away so I'm skeptical they find quality opponents for either guy. ShoBox often delivers good match ups so I guess its possible.

 

Vargas needs more time but I believe he can be pretty good. In time that is.

 

Yeah. People will write him off because of the performance against Lopez, but honestly that just came too soon. He wasn't ready for it. (even though Vivian Harris is a "bigger name" than Josesito Lopez, but that version of Harris was shot to the point of not even counting)

 

Decent card. Pretty good for Mayweather Promotions.

 

ya I remember Floyd congratulating him after the fight telling him how he made a good adjustment and took the fight.
