He's coming into his own and he's starting to set up his punches and gain leverage on them. I would pick him to murk Spence, Berto, Ortiz, Guerrero, Garcia, Khan, Alexander, Thurman, and Crawford as well if he came up.

That was Vargas Reborn, I've never been able to stand Jessie, but I'm liking this version a lot.

Hes been ready for a while, just needed the breaks.

Still think Bradley would be too much for him, but hes a legit top 10 type of guy

Has developed the ability to utilise his punch power. Still a basic 1-2 fighter who'll be outboxed by anyone of any real quality.

He loses to Brook, Khan, Thurman, Maidana, Marquez & Garcia

I get the feeling we'll never see Maidana in the ring again.

Think hes happy eating those fine Argentine steaks and being with his family

Spence, Ortiz, Alexander, and Berto I agree with. Garcia and Thurman both beat him. Khan, Guerrero, and Crawford could go either way.

No he's not. He beat Ali who was protected and over hyped. If Vargas's opponent throws over 45 punches a round he gets vexed.

His straight right finally got nice though. Looks like he added a second of hesitation between the one and the 2. Tim's gonna beat him down if they rematch though.

Khan and Crawford easily beat vargas are you guys serious?

Ali fought almost exclusively off the back foot and didn't try to establish a jab whatsoever. It was hilarious how Ali, with his faster hands, would stare at vargas until vargas decided to jab. Vargas did look good, but ali looked bad bad, and not due to Jessie.

Arum Wants Vargas - Pac/Bradley winner which is to say he either welcomes more unwanted fights that will inevitably bomb on PPV or he's playing Vargas like a fiddle the way he did Crawford and has no real intentions of matching him with Pac should he defeat Bradley again.
