Vargas just a half-beat too slow to get anything flush on the button and Pacquiao not remaining in the pocket long enough or anchoring his legs firmly enough to guarantee connections. Vargas tries a fancy combination, 1, 2, hookercut, uppercut, looking fluid & powerful but, again, slow, and landing none of it very cleanly (but grazing with almost every punch) as Pacquiao looks on from mid-range, frozen in place watching & waiting. Pacquiao actually utilizing something akin to a shoulder roll to catch Vargas' right hand leads on his right bicep, yet a few are elevated properly to clip him on the chin. Pacquiao dances in, reins up short to jerk his upper body away from a right hand, making Vargas miss but also not capitalizing, showing a jab feint but dancing outside again with Vargas pressing forward.
