I thought through 6 Vargas had the style and physique to outbox Pac from the outside. But it just takes a Floyd or Marquez to outbox the great fighter Pacquiao is through 12. He's still as good as he's been the last few years and in the mix for more great fights.

Actually if you look past Manny's star power, if he was just some random welterweight contender without a huge name, and this fight were happening in a vacuum, he isn't that far off base.

 

Did Vargas just really pull a Cintron and climb the corner turnbuckle thinking he won when it was clear as day he lost?

It was decent. That's why I carefully examined his wording- mediocre doesn't mean "bad", it means kind of run of the mill. The actual quality of the fight was about what you expect on average for a PBC network card main event.
