I wasn't impressed by his performance tonight, and I don't think hed pose much of a problem for any of the divisions best fighters at all, really. I think his best bet would be to move up and try to beat Ali once again, if not he may never be world champion ever AGAIN in my estimation.

How did it go down exactly? He shut out a tough journeyman... Vargas was never an elite guy to begin with.

His claim to fame was hurting Bradley with a few seconds left in their fight, after getting schooled for 11.9 rounds. He isn't that good.

I was rooting for him at one point to be great but his performances just didn’t wow me. I’m surprised he even got chances to fight top guys like Pac and Bradley to be honest. He should go back to Roger for training...

The Bobfather was shoving this guy down our throat hard for a while. I never understood why. I remember he got some gifts at 140 when he got his "belt". He is a cool cat outside the ring or when he's calling fights, but I agree, he doesn't have anything for the top guys at 147.

They've been trying to sell Vargas to us for years, no one is buying though.

TMT, Top Rank and now PBC.
This boy has had a lot of opportunities. Just doesn't have the "it".

No. Vargas has not fought in over a year and was out of shape. He needed the rounds. Against better or elite competition he'll show up in tip top form.
