    He didn't say he broke the hand before the fight. He said he hurt it and the X-ray showed soft tissue damage, a grade 3 contusion I believe. Then he iced and protected it up until the fight and it felt absolutely fine going in . Then in the sixth round he hit froch on the top or the side of his head and his hand get hurt again.

    After the fight he had an MRI scan which showed multiple fractures.

    Especially as he made a point of not mentioning it to anyone.

    Watch the post fight press conference. Someone asks him about his hand and he says "how did you hear about that". Then talks about it but plays it down. It takes Goosen to go into full length about it.
