Jesus Manuel Rojas Diaz born 03-06-1986 is a 5'7 Featherweight with a 26-1-2 1 NC 18 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of Caguas, Puerto Rico. I've been meaning to do this thread for quite some time, and in my rarely humble opinion, I consider 11 year pro Jesus an unheralded and underrated beast, and a real sleeper at Featherweight, who's capable of taking the scalps of the top guys at the moment. His record is deceiving, he's had his share of bad luck, he fought Arce on the undercard of Bradley-Pacquiao 1, and while he suffered a flash knockdown in round 1 he got back up to come on strong and win the round regardless, beating Jorge from pillar to post, and really started pouring it on him before the bell. The 2nd round started and Rojas managed to land a low blow, headbutt, kidney punch and a rabbit punch in quick succession, that's a hell of a 4 punch combo. Anyway, Arce fearing the worst was probably yet to come, IMO took his chance to get out of the fight without taking another L, since he was going downhill in a big way, the fight was ruled a NC. Then his next big step up was against the undefeated power puncher Jorge Lara, who got cut early, and seemed to look for the easy way out, the fight was stopped after the sixth and ruled a draw on all three cards, how convenient for Lara, since it seemed Rojas had seized control of the match. So finally when presented with the opportunity of facing another undefeated Mexican, he wasn't going to let this chance pass him by, Abraham Lopez, who should have taken an L against the underrated Julian Ramirez but was gifted a win, was beaten senseless by Rojas, who dropped him 3 times along the way before scoring an 8th round TKO, it was a savage one sided beatdown, Lopez never really even got into the fight. He followed that up a few months later taking on the biggest puncher of his career, whose since went on to viciously KO Jorge Lara in 30 seconds, The Matrix Claudio Marrero, the feared southpaw KO artist. Well Rojas stuck with the formula that got him the win over Abraham, he got in Claudio's grill and beat the living **** out of him, en route to a TKO win, after violently dropping him in the 6th, Marrero wanting no more, didn't even try to get up. There's nothing fancy about Jesus, he has a good jab that he keeps in his opponents faces, and is pure non stop aggression, whipping hooks, rights, lefts, anything he can land, anywhere he can land it. He's a brilliant pressure fighter, who's heavy handed, has a great chin, and a will of iron, and is one of the most exciting fighters to watch in the division. Check Out Jesus cut down some trees.
