For the WBA World Featherweight Title. Rojas lost the title vs. Joseph Diaz but could keep it because Diaz came in overweight and couldn't win it. Xu had a rough start of his career, losing two of his first five fights but both via razor close decisions in some small chinese venues so no idea if he was robbed badly there because of some politics or he lost in a legit way. Xu is still very young, 24 years old and probably has more room to improve than Rojas who was involved in a lot of wars over the years. I am not so sure what will happen here. Rojas looks like the huge favorite, the bookmakers having Xu as a +500 underdog but i am not quite sure if this is correct. Xu is on a good run vs. solid opposition although his last fight was close and his opponent was maybe robbed on the cards but i would not be surprised if he can pull this off. Thoughts?
Xu is featherfisted and may find it difficult to get the decision over the Golden Boy fighter on a Golden Boy card...
I feel Rojas is going to grind him down. This is a big step down for Rojas against an opponent who isn't going to box and negate his strengths and power.
Can Xu wasn't all that can do in his last fight against a so so opponent, Rojas just ran JoJo Diaz close and is coming off of destroying Abraham Lopez and Marrero, who are both as good, if not better than Xu. Jesus pulverizes and stops the Can man in 7.
Jhack tepora would've been a better matchup and would've at least gotten rid of the interim belt. But anyway rojas by ko but who knows xu may be that missing chinese hope
