That none of us know if it was a lucky shot that derailed him, or whatever. We know nothing of how it would be in regards to a Walters fight-after all Walters isn't a defensively elusive fast handed southpaw/switch hitter like Corrales is

Corrales is now on a 6 fight T/KO streak.
And he fights nothing like Walters!
Just because Corrales clipped Uchiyama, doesn´t mean Walters would.
Walters did not look all that impressive against Sosa. Yes, walters was dominant, but he did not look like the beast he did at 126.

    On air now
    Round 1-
Corrales really is VERY quick, his left hand looks dangerous and he's a counter puncher...well that already blows comparisons with how Uchiyama Vs Walters would go. Several hard straight lefts got through in the opening 90 seconds...Uchiyama looked rocked with 30 seconds left....Corrales slipped momentarily,

Tell you what it's gonna take a special fighter to beat this kid

    Round 2-
Corrales luring Uchiyama in, looking for a counter left straight-the left is permanently ****ed, Uchiyama very clearly struggling with the speed...and down! Badly shaken when he gets up, Corrales goes hunting, hook sends Uchiyama down again, 75 seconds left, Uchiyama tagged with another left, Uchiyama trying to hold, legs have stiffened though, Corrales lands a counter uppercutt, a right hand kinda clipped Uchiyama who goes down, ref waves it off as the bell goes...

Simply no answer AT ALL to the speed...He makes Walters look VERY slow. He's a luil clumsy, but **** he's lighting quick.

Theres reports on other sites on what happened ,feather fisted Corrales caught Takashi with a left and almost knocked him out,Corrales went after him and floored him again but apparently it was a slip, But Corrales kept pressuring him and ended up flooring him again and stopping him, thats what the reports say. Now you can say it was a lucky shot but then you can say that about every punch.

Reality is Takashi is past his best he was going by on his power alone against overmatched opponents in his last two or three fights, today he just faced a higher caliber opponent compared to what hes been facing lately and he was beaten just like he would be against Walters. The guy is 36 years old FFS, if he was in his prime than would be a different conversation but it is what it is,Father time + Godd young fighter =Uchyiama getting stopped.

Your right, their are reports, none of which would suggest that Walters and Corrales fight similarly. In fact if anything Corrales' speed would be a NIGHTMARE for anyone in the division. Their was no lucky shot, the huge differential in speed was the difference.

Walters is a guy who's power doesn't seem to have fazed his last few opponents, with his most notable stoppages coming against naturally smaller men...in fact has he ever fought a natural Super Featherweight other than Sosa who never looked troubled by his power?

Sosa aint no scrub(hell he probably would beat the current version of Uchiyama) and it was Walters first fight at 130 and he still dominated the fight at worst he lost two rounds,I've seen Corrales fight and hes a tricky fighter with some good defensive moves and some speed although he looks sloppy as hell at times and just cause he was riding a 6 fight KO streak against nondescript opponents doesnt mean hes a one punch KO artist cause he isnt nor does he hit as hard as Walters. Walters against the current version of Takashi it only has one ending and that Takashi being counted out.

I know they dont fight similarly, i've seen both of them fight before,You make it seem like Corrales has the speed of a young prime Camacho when thats not the case at all, he has some speed but nothing special he probably looked faster today cause he was fighting a past his best 36 year old fighter who was never known for his hand speed , Walters is all around a better fighter than Corrales from what i have seen and he hits harder than Corrales just cause he didnt stop his last two opponents doesnt mean he doesnt have power, sure his power will probably not have the same effect on the big junior lightweights as it did against featherweights but he still hits hard ,harder than Corrales and hard enough to turn out the lights on the current version of Takashi. Thats just my opinion.

Walter's last two stoppages came against guys who moved up something like 4 weight classes...lets see if he actually has any power against guys his own size before we start suggesting he's a Super Featherweight destroyer. It's hard to even remember what Walter's power against Featherweights was like...

Been more than 3 years since he fought Daulis Prescott...

Ask Donaire about how Walters power was like.

Ask a guy who made his name at Flyweight (and was probably at his best at Bantamweight) who hard a large Featherweight hits...right...that not kinda prove my point...?
