If anyone does care, William Gonzalez labored to a split decision loss (75-76, 76-75, 75-76) against a 4-5 opponent in a grabby, floundering, two-left-footed affair...and honestly should have been ruled knocked down in the 8th when a pair of straight punches forced him to sit on the middle rope to retain his balance. This is the same William Gonzalez who was one of King Kong Agbeko's best wins pre-Darchinyan (and who was KTFO in short order by Jhonny Gonzalez prior to that). :-(
In all seriousness though I was shocked when Gonzalez didn't get the decision. As you said, Agbeko beat him in a very good fight, and he is a very quality fighter.
I thought this was a pretty entertaining fight. BTW, Ford is now the main sponsor on Boxeo Telemundo. I wonder if that means better quality of bouts?
