Jhonny Gonzalez is finally getting a shot at the reigning champ TOSHIAKI NISHIOKA!!!!

I'm a big Gonzales fan!! He was right in their with Izzy when he eventually lost. A fight w/ R Marquez would be excellent.

 

You think Rafa might be past it after that brutal trilogy? I'm more interested in that fight than Gonzalez, who is an exciting fighter in his own rite. Hope he doesn't fold late again.

 

If Rafa still looks like a beast (maybe not the same game he brought during the trilogy, where I think he really stepped it up and into overdrive - but say the Marquez of the Mabuza fights, which is still a formidable p4p weapon of mass obliteration) he needs to launch right into a top fight (as in a recognizable name, preferably ranked in the top 20 or better yet 10 by most orgs - ie Gonzalez) immediately thereafter to set himself up for (at least) one more big payday which he really badly deserves - be it an encore with Vazquez (please for the love of all that is good and pure in the world let them be granted a PPV and all the financial trimmings that go along with it should that happen) or a high-profile televised title shot.
