These rounds are perfect examples of the type that some inexperienced pro and armchair judges give to the wrong guy based on activity and coming forward (and, for however much it contributes - emphatic vocalization)

I doubt there's a bigger John Revish fan on the board than me, and to me he's clearly lost both.

    Round 3

Revish is throwing left hooks to set up his overhand right, deviating a bit from the old chop-chop 1-2...but still missing. Molina is landing the jab as a point of reference on the bridge of Revish's nose, and landing the right hand up top as well as some nice uppers to the body. Revish gets a couple of body digs in himself. Molina seems more concerned with defending up top. Revish swirls his upper body around, dipping inside low and then reeling back out to try and dare Molina into creating an opening. Revish keeps coming forward and is back to his chopping ways, with Molina mostly blocking them and tossing back short little counters.

    30-27

    Round 4

Revish throws a few right hands but then begins to ease off the gas, gliding back to the ropes and using quick side to side head flinches to try and attract but elude Molina's jab. He's pretty successful for the most part. Molina seems less than impressed with having to come forward, and sets up tentative right hands with a pawed double jab. Revish threatens with feints but isn't able to come forward and greet Molina with anything serious as he's jabbed in the nose on the second step every time. Molina tosses a long right hand and Revish rubbernecks out of the way, landing a good right to the body on the rebound. Another good body shot by Revish. Molina tries to duck down and push Revish to the corner with a jab to the body but Revish slices at him with a low left hook to back him off.

Good solid effort by Revish, but ultimately still a shutout. 40-36 Molina

    Round 5

High jab by Molina. Revish is trying to slip it but just getting tickled. Low jab by Molina. Long right hand by Molina and Revish is hurt! Molina keeps walking forward, waving his arms around in short circular motions and firing rights at the retreating but still punching Revish. Good jab landed by Revish after Molina slows his advance (again showing he's much more comfortable as a counter puncher). Revish throws a high 1-2 and gets ducked, having telegraphed a bit. Big flurry of upward straightened-elbow shots by Molina, but Revish moves back out of the way and takes the few that reach on the elbows. They trade hooks at the bell.

    50-45 Javier Molina

D-Rod gave Revish round 3. I can see that, I thought that round was close, but still didn't give it to him.

    Round 6

Molina backs Revish up with his jab and a bit of a sloppy attempt to rat-a-tat to the body with his left and right. Revish circles slowly to his right, then backs up and goes left. Revish is using head movement and the limitations of reach to make Molina miss his jab, but can't get close to do his own work offensively and resorts to just winging overhand rights from outside while slowly turning Molina. Revish misses a jab, and then covers up to fully block a head and body flurry. Molina keeps throwing the jab and gets Revish to change directions, RIGHT INTO A BRUTAL RIGHT HAND. Revish takes it amazingly well. Body shots by Revish under the arms.

    60-54 Molina

Javier follows John to his corner, and gives him a pat on the back as though to congratulate and thank him for the spirited essay.

    I do like seeing that.

Big bump under Revish's left eye from all the right hands landed by Molina.

And I agree with IB, I have it a shutout as well 60-54 Molina.

I am still very fond of John Revish.

The shitty thing is that the more he loses and the worse his record gets, the less promoters will be inclined to give him TV time...when the fact is that most prospects will learn more in a night from him (and fans will be more entertained by him) than from 90% of these mopy record-padding journeymen who show up with losing in mind and collect their paychecks with the same glum and disenfranchised expression as a McDonalds employee.

He wasn't quite Intocable tonight, as Revish did touch him with some good ones here and there - but Molina is a decent looking work in progress.

...and what did I tell you about some goofy judges scoring rounds on activity alone? :nut
