    Mtagwa jabs. Double jabs. Gonzalez backs up, and lets out his long jack-in-the-box jab before recoiling back to his bent elbow and glove by his face origin. Mtagwa walks him down, hurtling forward and tossing out body shots as Gonzalez skirts along the ropes. Gonzalez lands a solid right. Now a hook to the body. Mtagwa keeps coming forward and tossing underhanded body shots. Gonzalez tries to jab but is up on his toes and barely touching the floor, not setting and unable to get any zip or accuracy on his jab. Mtagwa runs right past it but can't keep up with Gonzalez's footwork (making the ring look like a Bouncing Castle). Mtagwa is backed off with a high left hook and then Gonzalez plants a harder one right above his right hip.

    First round to Gonzalez. Spends the first half not doing much and Mtagwa follows and occasionally gets in a body shot. All of a sudden Gonzalez turns it on, starts landing good left hooks and straight rights. Mtagwa can't cope with the movement, every time he goes to get his feet set Gonzalez has already moved to the side.

    Mtagwa is coming forward right into hooking range. Gonzalez hits him with multiple hooks to the body, each harder than the last. Mtagwa is wobbling a bit! Now Gonzalez lands the hook upstairs! Mtagwa backs up, unsteady!! Mtagwa is on the ropes!! Mtagwa stumbles, nearly going down as he flops into the adjacent ropes. More hooks from Gonzalez. BIG RIGHT HAND knocks Mtagwa back to the ropes. Mtagwa throws a BIG overhand right, clubbing against the side of the champ's neck. Gonzalez answers back with HARDER, CRISPER, SHORTER punches that spin him around and into a corner. Gonzalez moves in for the kill and lands a double uppercut, left hook, straight right!! OVER!
