I dunno. I know since Schemling had recently beat Louis he was in line for Braddock. It's certainly much more possible that Braddock would've retained the title. I really can't say. I do slightly favor Schmeling, but a draw wouldn't be outrageous.
It would be very interesting to see if Schmeling would stop Braddock. It's a fight I'd have love to have seen. No question of the winner IMO, it's Schmeling 9/10 but Braddock was tough as the proverbial old boots and my guess is he had the accuracy to keep the German honest. 10-5Ish with no KDs is my guess.
Schmeling was better than Braddock, though Braddock was pretty durable so I'm not sure he'd get stopped. Schmeling on points.
Usually I am against stoppages in hypotetical fights when on one side you have someone as durable as Braddock, but on the other hand Schmeling stopped quite a few durable fighters.
