    I feel there were two Corbetts, pre and post Sullivan bout ... the pre-Sullivan Corbett was an exceptional physical specimen. Tremendous condition and speed. However, I feel he took advantage of "distance" fights to his advantage and would only fight them against a Peter Jackson ... when reading about their bout, Corbett basically ran for most of the first 25 rounds to tire out Jackson ...my point is if it were a ten, fifteen or twenty round fight Jackson would have won because Corbett fought to outlast guys ... the man who lost to Fitz and had such trouble with Sharkey was no longer the same man. I doubt Sharkey was as good as Sullivan but gave Corbett fits because that Corbett no longer had the speed and stamina ...

    A prime Corbett was an exceptional fighter in my book...

    I think "The Jew" would have something to say about that style before people start giving Corbett credit for something he didnt do.
