jeffries a slight favorite here, imo. he seemmed twice as fast as bonevena , had his own bobb and weave, had brains and footwork, could go all night, and knocked down a number of opponenets with body shots, and never lossed in his prime . a little bit too big, strong, powerful , tough and quick for frazier.

    Frazier dismantles him, thoroughly.

Frazier has maybe the single greatest win of all time at heavyweight against the near consensus number one heavyweight of all time.

You can cite all the Jeffries stories you want, but what Frazier accomplished is crystal clear reality.

Jeffries career is full of conjecture, conflicting newspaper reports, inflated and sometimes flat out ridiculous stories and claims.

Jeffrie's entire career consists of him feasting on far smaller men, and struggling mightily with plenty of them... Fitz, Sharkey, Choynski. Having your face turned into hamburger against smaller, supposedly inferior opposition and then bailing yourself out with your gross physical advantages doesn't strike me as the qualities of an ATG heavyweight.

If a fighter today did what Jeffries made a career out he... Fighting diminutive opponents whom he almost always had at least 20, sometimes up to 69 pounds on... He would be absolutely ridiculed and torn apart by pundits and casuals alike.

It's in my opinion no different than Vitali Klitschko cherry picking Adamek. Simply having a massive size advantage, and every other advantage at that.

I honestly find the near fanatical boosting of Jeffries on this forum to be embarrassing.

The man could fit into a heavyweight top 20, sure. But he's hardly the kind of unstoppable juggernaut he's made out to be.

I think an argument could be made that he's not any better than Jack Sharkey,

    So do I!

However, we must remember this isn't the real world. This is "Classic"... a fantasy land where Sam Langford shatters Wlad's glass jaw, and Marvin Hart flattens Frank Bruno!

In his prime that is exactly what he was seen as.

    an unstoppable jugernaut.

Marvin Hart flattens Frank Bruno. Marvin Johnson flattens Frank Bruno. Marvin Stinson flattens Frank Bruno. Marvin Camel flattens Frank Bruno. Marvin Hagler flattens Frank Bruno. Marvin Garris flattens Frank Bruno. Marvelous Marvin, Starvin' Marvin and Marvin the Mouse all flatten Frank Bruno. See the pattern here? How can you possibly argue with logic like this?
