I'm sure this has been done before, but if we stopped revisiting old matches we would have run out of topics long ago... So what do you think happens?
Thanks for something that's note the same one note samba... Great match-up. I think the closest we could find in either's resume to the other would be Jeff v Sharkey, though Sullivan was a bit bigger than Shark and was supposedly extremely quick with his hands. Jeffries could absorb enormous punishment and I think the best version of him wins this in some ridiculous amount of rounds.
I agree with the above in a best vs best matchup. That said, I think Sullivan wins more than Jeffries when we take the average of both.
Yeah I got tired of reading about threads placing black smiths in the ring with modern day olympians... 'Nuff of that already... I have a hard time deciding this one, because I don't know what Sullivan looked like in the ring and have seen very little footage of Jeffries... Jeff was the bigger man, beat more established pros and fought during a time when the sport was beginning to take on a more organized form.... Therefore I'll give him the edge..
Jeffries. It would be a contest where strength and stamina would be the main deciders. Jeffries had more of both, imo.
Jeffries hip tosses Sullivan. Sullivan gets up.... drunk/angry and swings a wild roundhouse right which sends Jeffries crashing into a piano. Sullivan KO Jeffries
Hip Toss?!?!?!?!?!? use proper termnology Cross buttocks, and sullivan was a master of them. though i agree with your final answer, sullivan defiantly wins this one though maybe by decision.
This was by far the most discussed fantasy fight, before Jack Johnson was recognised, relativley late in his career! It was like Louis Ali or Ali Tyson.
