Yeah, that has been rumored since very shortly after the announcement, but I've also seen Lamplely/Bernstein/Brown from nearly as many sources.
Paulie doesn't deserve to be anywhere near this fight after openly accusing both Mayweather and Pacquiao of steroids (especially Pacquiao), and just being absolutely ridiculous and bias. He should be glad he's getting pre-fight cover after the way he has acted.
...that history actually makes him perfect for the assignment. His attacking (not to mention constantly unrealistically calling out) both sort of cancel out and make him in an odd way impartial, and he would certainly bring the "color" in the color broadcaster role.
I'd love for Farhood to make the team, he's the most underrated commentator in boxing, but he doesn't have a chance.
Yeah, he would make the most logical sense from a diehard's perspective and make it the most knowledgeable trio it could be...yet he is the least 'colorful' and sensationalistic choice and this event is obviously going to be about maximizing the hype.

I don't care his commentary for Salido Juanma was epic.:deal I thought it was but I also like weird movies, so its not for everybody, but I'm a lifelong Michael Keaton fan I saw Beetlejuice in the theaters when I was kid. Mr Mom Night Shift etc.
Other current "free agents" like Merchant (as in not employed by either HBO or Showtime/CBS): Wally Matthews (formerly on Versus) BJ Flores (NBC SN) Bob Sheridan (various international and Top Rank livestream cards) Brian Kenny (formerly ESPN2 & then Showtime, but contract expired in December) Jim Ross :yep (Fox Sports 1) Benny Ricardo (usually Colonel Bob's sidekick) Teddy Atlas (ESPN2) George Foreman (formerly HBO) Lennox Lewis (formerly HBO) Dave Bontempo (Fox Sports 1) Kenny Rice (NBC Sports) Bernard Hopkins (Fox Sports 1) Raúl Márquez (fills in on an I believe ad-hoc basis for Showtime, but still a free agent, has also play-called for HBO, NBC, and UniMas) Doug Fischer (various low-rent PPVs, gofightlive.tv and small-budget regionally televised cards, etc) Who else am I forgetting?
The more I think about it, I think I'd prefer Ward for this particular fight. His ****ysis is on point, he understands the cerebral part of the sport, and his understated style will be good for the event. And we know we will have the proper respect for the men in the ring.
Kenny Rice has the cold dead eyes of a serial killer, he scares me. Brian Kenny has a similar problem.
Surprised no votes for Milkdud. He is, besides RJJ, the only name that appears in both my top 4 most knowledgeable and top 4 most entertaining. :think
Lampley is a registered Mayweather hater and I don't think Bernstien can control his reckless ramblings. I would like to see Paulie as the third wheel because he can keep the balance. Lampley is a dam fool.
