I've had some of my hard earned money on Kovalev and judging by your recent predictions I'm actually delighted your picking Ward.

Keep swinging MVC, you will get one right sooner or later.

Kovalev is better and stronger than Ward....
Ward has never ko,d anyone at 175...
Ward has never fought a puncher like Kovalev..
Ward has lost some of his speed...
Kovalev tko 8 Ward ( bet on it i did )

I don't expect anyone thinks Ward will KO Kovalev but in many respects I think both guys have to fight as near perfection to get the win,Ward would be expected to bank rounds on points but has to avoid Kovalev for twelve rounds which I thought Chilemba did well until round seven.

Kovalev has to be able to find holes in Wards amazing defence,I'd like to think he could but it's a tall order against someone who not been beaten since a teen.

Good points. I see this as a toss up and would go down the wire. either winner will have to settle for an SD. My pick though is Ward via SD.

Kovalev's chin glass chin was specifically made to meet Ward's fist, shatter and submit.
Kov is going down faster than the Russian economy!

The odds on Ward knocking out Kovalev should be 10,000 to 1

The last time I was shocked by a Ward result was when he stopped Chad Dawson at SMW a few years ago (right after the Super 6 tournament.) I thought Dawson had an excellent shot in that fight but he was completely whitewashed. I wonder if making the 168 limit drained hm that much (it must've, he looked like a dead man walking in that match.)

I can't see Ward stopping Kovalev. To me, that's one of the more far-fetched outcomes for any fight I can remember in recent times. He could MAYBE drop him once with a flash KD- maybe a quick, sharp counter that Sergey doesn't see coming. Aside from that though, his only hope is to keep it slick and clever in the ring at all times. He needs his A+ game for this fight.

I don't realistically see either of them getting stopped in this fight.
Ward isn't stopping a sturdy LHW, and despite Kovalev's power, I suspect
Ward is professional enough to survive a full onslaught.

Ward by TKO. He will keep clinching all night, frustrating Kovalev. Kovalev will then expose himself in order to open Ward up a bit, and bam...Kovalev will get stunned, knocked down and Ward will finish after that...9th round.
