If Ali was Golovkin , his best win would be Karl Mildenburger :cunaooooo:

"They don’t need to confuse themselves with Compubox numbers and round by round scoring and technical analysis. Via the metric of social media, and among themselves on the street, they have spoken loudly again. They like the way Triple G competes. They love the passion his face projects. They are enthralled with his heart"

Ermm no. People don't think Golovkin won for those reasons, people think that he won because he boxed better.

Spamming a jab for 24 rounds doesn't mean he was a better boxer. His arsenal being taken away by Canelo is the only reason he was such a jabbing merchant. Canelo made him miss 100's and 100's of punches. Defense is a major factor i scoring criteria.

Ever boxed? Throwing and landing hooks and body shots from mid rage is a lot harder and takes far greater skill than just throwing jabs.
Punch variety will always trumps jab and the judges rightfully recognized it.

You don't get awarded for doing "harder" things, that's not how it works mate. Establishing and having a good jab is a skill in and of itself.

And yeah I have boxed actually, only sparring but I have some insight. And any boxer's first objective should be to win on the jab, if you can't, well it's not good news for you. The fight is now 10x harder.

If Dino was a boxer, he'd be Eric Crumble.

Lool doesn’t matter, he lost. If he rematches he is gunna lose in an even more emphatic manner.

I've fought a hundred times ... landing a jab, especially Golovkin type jab, is way more difficult than landing a hook or an uppercut. however, body punches are also harder to land than most people think. You just can't land it on certain fighters due to different reasons. I think Canelo is one of those. Could be his phisical strenght, hard to tell from the outside.

I didn't even bother to watch the video. I can't imagine what comparisons there could possibly be between these 2 fighters, they're nothing alike outside of having outstanding amateur careers.

I tend to agree. Alis level of competition takes a giant dump on Golvokins.

Also Ali tended to dig down a little deeper in his fights.

First I dont know how he finished the first Frazier fight on his feet. That was a prime Frazier who was very well prepared and motivated. With godly stamina, head movement and accuracy for a HW. The vast majority of fighters would crumble under that level of ass whooping that Ali took.

Then he came back and beat Foreman. But he didnt run. He was right on the ropes the whole time. Trying to ward off and tire Foreman.

There is the trilogy with Norton who is just as good as Canelo ever was. Probably even better.

And then the 3rd fight with Frazier. That was the first fight we saw that Ali was noticeably over the hill. By that time he was getting older and was in a lot of tough fights. His legs were gone and his hands didnt move with the same speed. So what did Ali do? He went toe to toe with Joe Frazier, savagely, in an incredibly intense fight. One of the most brutal fights we've ever seen. And Frazier had to quit on his stool before the 15th.

GGG never showed that type of intensity ever really. Beating up on guys who dont have the skill and toughness and power to fight back doesnt count. The difference in heart and determination is obvious.

Not that GGG is a bum. But Ali is the 1st or 2nd greatest fighter p4p in the last 50 years.
