I remember I said "Occupy Top Rank" that night on FB. I do love the sport, but not buying is the only way to send a message.
absolutely!!! which is why i am boycotting jim lampley's commentary until they give us the option of watching fights without it. that round 7 was great!!! got to hear the crowd noise....no bull****. sidenote... was it me...or did they edit out lampley accusing bradley of holding and hitting in round 2??? if they did...just more proof of their bull****.
Lampley was a **** that night, asking loaded questions of Ford and Dunkin and then blatantly not listening to or even entertaining a word they had to say in defense of their stance while presenting it as an objective forum of discussion.
NBC ditched Lampley from anchoring the Olympics this year. He was actually decent at that... His replacement? Ryan Seacrest. My 88-year-old grandmother is thrilled.
The only way to change boxing from a fan is to boycott PPV. But is that really going to happen? Doubt it. Fans will buy PPV no matter. This proven time and again.
I'm obviously a Lampley fan (ahem. ...), but he does tend toward paranoid rants. This one at least is plausible, but consider his tirade directed at George Bush when he wrote a piece for the Huffington Post several years ago: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jim-lampley/the-dangers-of-bush-agoni_b_9747.html Anyway, I like that there's at least a boxing forum provided by the sport's most significant purveyor. Hope it works out.
lol did he write this though? The current HBO lineup barr Stewart is so bad. Kellermans face just annoys me lol
