:goodOk...so after Khan gets the body shot knock down...lampley goes on and on about Khan should be throwing more body shots. Maybe he was right in the few rounds followings. However he kept saying this, even in the 11th round. Now by the 11th Khan had slowed both in hand speed and foot speed...and it would of been far more likely for Madina to have landed a lean counter head shot. At that point only a ****** would try to go hard to the body (espically when you are 3 inches tallers then the other fighter) but of course lampely never fought and doesnt know ****...so hey...
Maidana is 5'9'' and Khan is 5'10''. It's pretty clear, look at the weigh in photos. I agree with you though, going to the body wasn't the best idea or else Roach would have told him to do it more.
You sound like a real hater, anybody can get in a boxing ring, I never seen you fight on TV who are you? You're just some guy that fights at a gym? Lampley does a great job and you sound insecure, maybe you sound like a high pitch girl we wouldn't know because you're hiding behind a computer.
No lampley doesn't do a great jov...I didn't hear jones say it....if he did he was wrong. And if it was such a great idea why didn't roach tell him to do it?
No I think it would have been a good idea to go to the body, even late in the fight. Khan needed to land something that would earn Maidana's respect to keep him off a little, and Maidana was eating his chin shots like candy.
No it wouldn't have phila...you need to drop down for body shots... You need to be a bit more stationary...all things that khan could not afford to do. Why do u think wlad stopped throwing body shots under stewart?
He dropped him with a body shot not hurt him but had him tumbling yes he should have went to the body, you want to do what worked untill it dont no mo
It may well have been a good idea to throw more body shots in the 2nd 3rd 4th round. Not so good in the 10th when Khan was slower and dropping in for a body shot would have been far more dangerous.
Throwing the left to the body leaves Khan open to Maidanas favourite punch the overhand right, although I think he should have threw a few more body dhots after the knockdown
