I'm not necessarily surprised to see him as an Olympic broadcast personality, but I'd have thought maybe he'd be on hand for the US boxing matches (and nothing else). Here he is calling...swimming. :blood Has he done the Olympics before? Also, what times of day are they broadcasting the boxing matches? :huh
don't know if he has, but tennis is another sport that he commentates. If the Olympics were ever on ABC, he proably did. But I only remember NBC
He's been doing the Olympics forever. He's essentially the No. 2 guy after Bob Costas. He and Costas used to have a nasty rivalry over that, but I think it's chilled out now. He's only going to work sports that are on regular NBC, not CNBC. Hopefully, he'll be involved for some of the boxing medal matches.
Yea he does the winter an the summer, i think it is great one of boxing top guys in the prime time like this. He very good at inteviews, I think this is good for boxing. Lampley takes alot of heat from posters, but to me the guy is as fair is you can get,,,,, Mayweather must be a real punk to call a guy like lampley a racist, he one the reason i followed the last few olympics.
Lampley used to be the sportscaster on the news...he has no problem acting the expert in any sport...
Exactly. He and Costa have that "God speaking through me" demeaner. They could make an average morning dump seem historically significant.
Yeah, and both are brilliant, knowledgeable, and passionate about sport. What the hell do you want more than that? Both of them are great.
