Jim Maloney outboxed Carnera and won a decision over him. What does this mean? It means he's not too small to handle world class super heavies. And actually, AJ is a bit smaller than Primo Carnera was.

I’d favor Maloney to beat Joshua. Everything about Maloney is bad news for Joshua. Maloney was very experienced, great at ducking under punches, punching with his opponent, and good at maneuvering his opponent.

Carnera had a very hard time with Maloney for a reason, but was very lucky, since Tommy Burns, who was in attendance was confident he could train Carnera to beat Maloney in a rematch, which he did. If Carnera didn’t receive help from Burns he most likely would’ve lost again to Maloney and who knows where his career would’ve went.

This is one out of left field, MJL! For me the difference is Carnera couldn't really punch his weight, and AJ ,whatever his other faults could.
