I'm annoyed James has stayed with him. I don't see a great future. Nothings gonna change...

Boxing you gotta pick the right people to work with. From Promoters to Strength and Conditioners and most importantly your trainer.

Very disappointed and Jim seems to have well and truly lost the plot...not that he was the full ticket anyways..

Is it me but Jim McDonnell is starting to be the most hated trainer in british boxing (EVER)??? they way he acting in the degale vs groves fight was childish and pathetic. Seems he gets silly and delusional as he gets older. He is soo much in DeGales ass he can't see the sunshine anymore.

Jim F*** off and work on james before he sacks u.

I've just read the full interview with Earthworm Jim over on the scene!!! :rofl

I found the part where he was whining about the Dark Lord calling him a wanker & saying "you've got to show class winning or losing" absolutely hilarious especially after the way him & DeFail acted before & after the fight!!! PRICELESS!!! :rofl:rofl:rofl

Every time these two imbeciles open their mouths, they just dig a deeper hole for themselves & are currently the biggest joke in boxing & i'm beginning to think Earthworm Jim has completely lost the plot & is actually more deluded than Fraudley & DeFail combined!!! :nut:nut:nut

I was on the fence until seeing him at the Braehead Arena against Alpay Kobal. I know it was a hastily arranged fight, and that he may have wanted to get a few rounds in - but his opponent was also in on short notice, looked out of shape, and DeGale did not look impressive at all.

I said from day one McDonnell was the wrong trainer for James. Jim is good at getting you super fit and not much else. He was never the man to turn a top amateur into a top pro.

I still believe Degale will be a world champion, he is a class act and will get better.

The fight produced a fair result imo however i feel that both boxers are destined for failure at world level
