maybe the style clash will help degale develop more of a pro style. Jim McDonnels brother was my head of year at school. caught 6 of us smoking in the woods and told us, "you got a 15 sec head start, how ever many of you i catch im taking you to the head"....................he caught 5 of us, including me, weeks detention.
McDonnell did some great work with Danny Williams, had him pushing cars down Brixton High Street and sleeping in oxygen tents. He won't be able to do much with Degale though, he's not made from the pro game and is a twat.
The tent was a load of mumbo jumbo and anyone could order Williams to push a few cars around or hit a tyre with a big hammer. A proper trainer is meant to improve the fighter's skills which McDonnell plainly hasn't with any of the fighters he's worked with. Furthermore, the corner work and 'advice' when Williams fought Vitali was BY FAR the worst and biggest shambles I have ever seen!! It was terrible:yikes
For the same reason, just in my opinion, that we were saying it wouldn't have been practical for Dave Price to move to London.May be senility on my part, but I thought McDonnell trained James for George Groves.Put me right somebody.I think James is a good prospectMust admit to rooting for George against him,but Id still like James to do well, but much in the same way I think Gavin should step up,Id like to see Degale do so soon.
