Stephen Smith fills in for Rome today, and blasts Williams [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-J2NXJz234[/ame]
Umm he's a sports analyst discussing boxing. You do know they actually used to do that dont you? Discuss boxing on TV?
Oh hell, I was hoping nobody was going to talk about that fight. Go figure...they show massive amounts of other worthless sports, and no boxing, yet, the one time they shouldn't talk boxing they do. atsch
While i normally don't like watching ESPN guys talk boxing (they usually don't know WTF THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT) I completely agree with this. Just like the thread I started. Williams said there were no adjustments based on the KO, and then he comes back and gets hit with the exact same ****ing punch over, and over and over and over and over and over and over again. He needs to quit for the sake of his health.
Paul Williams needs to hit the weight room, he's 6'2 but clearly has no business above 147lbs. He's just a boney stick
The guy is spot on...if Williams is going to stay in the game, he better learn to block a left cross. Otherwise, he'll be another Meldrick Taylor. And yes, if Lara could hit hard like Martinez, Williams would have done a Jermain Taylor to the nearest hospital.
People need to calm down. He lost to Martinez and Lara, those guys aren't bums in any way. He just isn't on that elite level.
When Paul throws his left straight he gets **** done. He needs to straighten up those punches. And man! that right hook is a liability sometimes. Uses it too often, and it doesn't have enough power.
Paul Williams doesn't throw any punches correctly, doesn't understand the basic concepts of defense. I hope he retires before he is injured too badly.
