jim watt - a new low

Jim Watt is a good commentator. He does tend to prefer fighters who are more orthodox though. Nothing makes Jim happier than watch someone work off their jab!

 

Can't stand him really, he somehow picks a fighter he wants to win and then thats it. Remember his commentary on the Watson v Eubank 2 fight....some humble pie wasn't eaten that night

 

Did his usual. Got hung up on one early narrative and wouldn't let it go.

Threw in a huge portion of unsubstantiated nonsense (Froch's attitude all wrong).

As usual I found myself saying 'shut up Watt for ****s sake' after 2 or 3 rounds

 

I generally find him annoying, but he was spot on this time.

 

I was very surprised Jim didn't realise Froch's performance following round one could have been linked to the huge KD he suffered..I don't believe Froch got over that shot, he just can't have. He MUST have some level of concussion after that fight.

 

He called it correctly FFS!

Praise Froch's work? His work was awful.

 

jim watt was spot on no complains from me, he has been poor previously but in general he is as a good commentator

This. I usually think he's terrible but on Saturday he pretty much got it bang on.

I agree with the op, Jim Watt is the worst commentator on TV. I prefer to watch the fight with sound off. He gets far to excited and is completely bias. Listening to his constant bollocks ruins my enjoyment of any fight he is involved in. The sooner Jim is put out to pasture the better.

 

JIm Watt was borderline scating of Froch for the first 6 rounds, thats how good GG was and bad Froch was.

So ****i knows what anyone is complaining about.

It wasnt a close enough fight for Jim to be biased

 

What I find with Watt is he picks his fighter after 30 seconds of round 1 and stays with it. If 2 punches land he will only mention his pick. However there wasn't much he could do on Saturday.

 

Agreed, mate. I started a thread on it yesterday. You'd think Froch never landed a shot all night according to Watt. Even when Froch was landing in flurries (not pretty, I'll give you that) and going to the body, Who Watt either ignored it or or suggested it was some how part of GG's gameplan. It was horrible. I just wish there was a red button option on sky where you could still hear the in-ring action but mute the old scottish lesbian. Would be incredible.
