I have been telling anyone who will listen FOR YEARS here, that Jim Watt is a twat. He picks on his fellow scotsmen all the time, & cuts them no slack when they are fighting. At times, hes just downright nasty. No one listened though... cos it wasnt one of their own who was taking Watts verbal abuse. & when Watt decides to verbally abuse a fighter? hes relentless.

Thankfully you englanders finally got a taste of the REAL Watt, & like me you didnt ****in like it.

Only when Watt picked on Haye when you were all cheering him on did the penny finally drop, that Jim Watt is a twat!

watt is useless.

how anybody could defend him is beyond me. although it seems that less people do with every fight he commentates on.

1 he cant score foghts
2 hes always biased, usually in favour of the underdog exept when mayweather fights (he has mayweathers dick so far down his throat that im expecting him and ellerbe to have a ***** fight over who has sucking rights)
3 the rest of the crew seem to nod and follow whatever he says as if he's the gospal

Don't know whether to laugh at him or be pissed off now as i find his ranting quite hilarious.

 

The scotsman in me wants to defend his ass, but I cant!

All I will say is Watt was a great fighter, seriously you have to see the guy fight. Warrior is an understatement.

As an analyst though hes hopeless. Its like John Barnes. flawless player, useless manager.

compelly agree with all of that. he just shouldn't be commentating on fights at all, perhaps just put him in with the pundits to hear his rants. a whole 12 rounds of his garbage is just too excrutiating

 

I been on his case for years here Dan, no-one wanted to listen though cos Watt picks his targets.

You should have seen some of my earlier threads from yesteryear when Scott Harrisons dad decided to have a flame war on the back page of the news of the World cos Watt was such a **** to Harrison throughout his career...

Imagine if everyone who posted in this thread to say how appalled they were with Watt let Sky Sports know their feelings directly...

 

Watt clearly didn't like Haye in the countdown shows. I assume it's because he's a modern showbiz fighter as opposed to old school. Both him and Darke had said the only way Haye could win was how Haye ended up fighting. Yet they criticize him when he does it. The fight wasn't close at all and I think somebody in authority has to realize how influencial a commentator can be on a viewer who doesn't know what there looking at but needs a bit of guidance.

 

Never seen him fight but 1 of my older friends says he was a dirty **** and hates him. Could be an Eng v Scot thing with my mate though

Dont get me wrong, Hayes the real deal. The guy is a horrible person though. I respect him as a fighter, & thought he did enough to beat Valuev.
I dont see how anyone can really like Haye though, the guy just reminds me of the school bully.
