Currently reading a brilliant book called In Sunshine and in Shadow featuring boxers in Northern Ireland during the troubles of the 70`s and 80`s.One of the main characters is Charlie Nash so i decided to watch his fight v Watt on you tube.Glad i did its a mini classic
Great scrap, a classic of the British ring. There was no love lost between Nash and Watt and it showed in the way they fought - the vast majority of shots, especially by Nash, were thrown with a brutal knockout in mind. But eventually Watt's little bit of extra class and experience at the highest level told.
Good scrap. Watt was surprised by Nash in the first round but regrouped well. After Watt got his game together, Nash seemed to quite suddenly drift out the fight, giving a determined Watt the upper hand. Still a good job by Watt to bag the early night.
