So true. Watt's commentary during that fight changed me from finding Watt annoying to hating the **** out of him. His voice grates on me too.

Watt gets criticised because his commentary is completely unbalanced. He picks a favourite before the fight even begins.

You do have a mute button, if they annoy you so much why not just press it?

I find everything about Skys presentation irritating.

I either mute the sound or as someone else said find some radio commentary.

Makes you wonder what the powers that be at Sky are thinking, keeping these guys and leaving the likes of Bunce out on the curb, unreal.

Watt does a fine job in that sense. Imagine if every commentator based their commentary on who they thought would win beforehand.

I'd enjoy the commentators arguing for sure. I liked that about 90's and early 2000's HBO shows - Merchant, Jones, Lampley, Foreman et al arguing and bickering.

The commentary on this was shockingly bad. A classic case of making your mind up, then trying to get the fight to fit the script. Except Jamie, good fighter though he was, was never going to win this from the second onwards. An object lesson in how to get it wrong

Anyone listen to / rate the commentary on Radio Five Live? Could mute sky and put the radio on instead!

Amazing response. I pay £15 to watch a title fight but I am expected to press mute rather than expect a decent commentary

    You can't be ****ing serious?

When you pay for a product you expect it all to be of equal quality, **** commentary is not part of that deal...:deal

Darke was every bit as bad if not worse than Watt, how no moaning about him?

An immediate Darke quote springs to mind- "This performance will reverberate throughout the world of boxing"

Darke is the main culprit here, when Watt dared criticize Haye during the Valuev fight Darke threw such a hissy fit that Watt could do one of two things. Resign in disgust, or back down & start agreeing with everything the nationalistic football man says.

Watt took the cowards way out, & you wont hear him say a bad word about Haye again. Darkes the main haye cheerleader here folks, cut Watt some slack for once.

I'd like to see Darke - McCrory as the commentators. Watt is okay if you don't take what he says too seriously.

I enjoy Watt & Darke. They are pretty cool to listen to. Yeah they are biased for a guy like Haye but not at all bad.

It seems like Merchant and Lampley get a lot of **** but they seem balanced in terms of nationality. They heaped a lot of praise on lennox for the most part especially lampley when lewis was getting criticism from many other Americans...and seem criticize plenty of domestic fighters.

however, I find guys like bunce, mccullough, McCrory far worse and some of their commentary and articles are pretty ludacris and delusional.

Must admit i got a couple of laughs out of them like...

I love how you twist the facts for your own agenda. That's not it at all, Darke merely pointed out that throwing means nothing if you aren't landing - which was all Valuev was doing. Haye landed more shots, better shots and controlled the fight.

Watt had decided on the preview show that Haye was going to lose because he'd be out swinging wild, and he seemed disappointed that Haye was being sensible. His commentary was shamefully simplistic, giving rounds to Valuev just because he was walking forwards and ignoring Haye's work almost entirely.

Watt received heavy criticism for being so negative, so he's trying to redress the balance and, let's be honest, Haye did give a good show on Saturday.

Anyway, you've had enough fire when Cook thrashed Arthur, whining that Watt had sold him out when, for once, he told it like it was.
