    I adore Drayton, and definitely went out of my way to collect everything of his that I could over the years. Hope you find his bouts as thrilling, nostalgic and entertaining as I do. Enjoy!

    If I remember right he was kind of like an Iran Barkley type fighter. He was a fringe guy, I used to watch him. Was a lot of fringe contenders that were so good back then, tough guys. Always on regular TV, a great time!

    Lot more explosive than Barkley, and wasn't as reliant on his size as much as Iran.

    Buster Drayton was Hagler sparring partner and like Holmes learned from Ali Drayton did from Hagler. Drayton certainty paid his dues with the no nonsense Hagler . Drayton said " I stayed in camp with Marvin for 4 yrs and i saw guys get carried out, laid and ko because they had the wrong attitude. "

    Thanks for the tip ! A great bout involving Jimmy Cable was the one against Said Freddy Skouma, really tremendous.

    Buster was a US Marine now I could be wrong but I swear he was one of the guards at the gate of the now closed Willow Grove Marine air base outside Phila many many yrs ago
