It's a shame Jimmy Carter is not often discussed on this forum. I feel his technical skill deserves some attention, especially among younger fans. While I'm not sure I'd favor him in this instance, I'm convinced the foil I've selected in Diego Corrales would produce fireworks. I think relevant factors to consider are Jimmy's general lack of consistency and Diego's immense power at lower weights- not power enough to knock Jimmy out, perhaps, but certainly more than damaging enough. Furthermore, even a fully switched on Carter might find Corrales simply walking through his punches. I think for Jimmy to take it, he'd need to employ dirtier tactics, which happened quite frequently in his fights, conveniently enough. If a stray headbutt were to occur, it could unfold similar to Corrales' first encounter with Casamayor.
Another vote for Carter. Corrales hit plenty hard. But, his boxing ability was limited. And his durability (especially at 135 and above) was questionable
