    ???

Jimmy is a fighter Im really liking at the moment and Ive always been a big fan of Kenny.

Two very solid technicians, and two of the better lightweights Ive seen. Perhaps not top tier but way up there.

    Thoughts on this one?

I'd say Buchanan takes this, if only because of Carter's tendency to lapse and let the fight slip away. He was brilliant on his best night, but more of a fighter who'd give you a surprise knockout.

Carter, when he wanted to be, really was a very good puncher. But Buchanan's chin was unbreakable. Movement wins here, although I've always thought Buchanan could hang with almost anyone at close range, too.

Yeah Im liking Kenny's consistency and skillset getting the job done here.

Carter could be frustrating to watch..in spurts he was absolutely amazing. Among the better Ive seen at lightweight for his punch selection and technical ability...Could be very explosive and had a good eye for landing counters. But thats just the thing, it was in spurts. He so often just went back to being outworked and being a little lazy defensively.

I think he could trouble Kenny a lot...but again probably just in spurts. He may even get a sneaky knockdown if Ken gets a little complacent. But I cant see him denting Buchanan enough and he would likely lose on points.

    Real impressed with him here.

Araujo was a fine boxer with some very good wins...He was actually the favorite going into this fight.

Interesting one is this Rock. I'm not extensively versed on Carter and hence may not be the best person to ask, especially because I love Buchanan's style too, but I think Kenny edges him. Carter was the brilliant but lazy type from what I've seen, though as Manassa says, a deceptive puncher. Still, Kenny was as hard as nails and excellent in every department bar power, and he had still had a fair dig at that.

Good fight and good footage of Jimmy there.

Buchanon. Carter showed in the Iran hostage episode that he has no stomach for a fight. Now Buchanon vs. Ronald Reagon. As Howard Cosell would say, " WE'VE GOT A FIGHT!".:hey

Interesting match up, both guys have quality left hands and at their best could hang with probably anyone at lightweight. Not really sure who I'd favour maybe Buchanan based on his consistency.

Carter wins a close one over Buchanan, but knowing him, he could lose, and win the rematch.
