When declining veterans They both lost on points to a young Joe Bugner,. Lets say the Jimmy who beat Quarry against the Mac who kept trying against Ali. Can Jimmy survive the prolonged Mac Attack.or would Jimmy Feast on this Bic Mac with Relish ..?
I think Ellis was in a category higher than Foster. I don't see him Stopping Mac but a decision is a very likely outcome. Jimmy beat Quarry, Patterson, Chuvalo, Bonavena, Martin and even did okay for a bit in the early rounds against Frazier.
Although I don't think Ali, specifically, 'carried Foster' in their fight, he didn't unlesh all his tools. IMO after Quarry Mac was damaged goods and dead meat. But a shout out to Foster, I think he attended Jerry Quarry's funeral which, IMO, says a lot about his moral quality and heart.
