DePaula knocked Tiger down twice and Foster once (although it was a brief knockdown), anyone who can do that's a good puncher. DePaula won 16 of 21 fights by knockout. But Frazier was a Philly fighter anyhow, fought much like Rocky. How is Weaver like Rocky? I mean, he's a bit of a Cinderalla man, but he didn't fight like Rocky. Rocky was pressure fighter and a brawler. Weaver was a do-nothing fighter with a good jab that reversed incredible points advantages with dramatic one-punch knockouts late in fights.

 

Well William Weaver beat they odds, Frazier the odds were on ALL ON him, I of course knew of Depaula , did not know he was that much of a socker, (pretty good) HARD TO TELL, one thing we can agree on the wepner was all hype, i would go with Chuvalo maybe , but he was a seasoned contender, who did not have to worry about his towel or locker

 

i did not say anything about a knockout either fighter, just stated facts, i'll go with Quarry to win, period.

I was thinking more of styles, rather than Weaver being an underdog, in that way he is much like Rocky, although he looks more like Apollo.

Terrell was a diminished fighter after the Ali fight,both prime he likely outpoints Ellis.imo

 

Yeah that Ali fight was the beginning of the end. Thad Spencer stopped him in his very next fight and he never beat a top contender again. Prior to the Ali fight, he had a real impressive run going. He beat Doug Jones, Machen, George C, Folley, Bob Foster and Cleveland Williams. Not too shabby.
