    But he didn't did he. And right off the top of my head I can think of several reasons why. Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield. Be that as it may, if 98 Jones beats Marciano then he would've stood a fair chance with any of the reasons mentioned earlier. Yet he still didn't. Maybe he knew something you don't.

    He was going to take on Buster Douglas as his first test at that weight. His father persuaded him against it. It is all well known.

    Looking at how Holyfield's fights with Lewis went in 1998-1999, it wouldn't have been as hopeless as people tend to think. Jones was younger and much faster.

    There is a very good reason Jones picked Ruiz instead of Holyfield, or Douglas.

    Holyfield picked James Toney over Jones in 2003, even though that brought him less money.
