Ellis by early KO. Much better boxer and had more than enough power to KO Morrison

Angie would have his guy ready for Morrison . And Tommy is not beating a version of on his A game Ellis.

Interesting to see the unanimous support for Ellis.

Ellis was beaten by lesser fighters than Morrison.

Frazier could not miss him even if he tried with his left hook..............guess whats Morrisons best punch is, possible more powerful and at least as fast.

A fully focused Tommy Chin, which is hard to find, will stop Ellis in a entertaining bout.

I’m leaning towards Morrison personally. Ellis didn’t like left hooks.. particularly hard ones. And an aged Floyd Patterson was robbed against him according to a lot of people.

Ellis lands some good jabs and snappy rights , but Morrison lands the heavier shots and moves nearly as well when it is his wont.

Maybe a close but UD Morrison. Might be a knockdown of Morrison (that sneaky right) and/or Ellis (that big hook).

Ellis, however, clearly beat Quarry and Bonavena both of whom were clearly better and more complete fighters than Morrison, not to mention they were levels above him in punch resistance and stamina.

And Morrison had more than enough bad performances against much lesser fighters than Ellis.

    - demolished by non-puncher Michael Bentt in 1 round

    - barely held to a draw green and inexperienced Ross Puritty surviving 2 knockdowns

    - went life and death against totally shot Carl Williams (another fight where he was dropped twice)

    - went life and death against journeyman Joe Hipp

No, I can't give him a lot of chances against somebody like Jimmy Ellis, who was levels above all those fighters
