Would anyone want to see the whole story (both the good and bad) told. I've been interested in learning more about Jimmy, but all I can find are small sites with quick facts about his career, and then heresay about some shady things he had done before his death. That said I would want to write a complete biography on of one of boxing's most ardent ambassadors.

A very mysterious man. Nobody knows much about where his money came from. I never cared for the way he spoke about Jesse fergerson right in front of him after his fight with Tyson. Intresting man though, and somebody who had the foresight to preserve historical fight film.

Many of the people who knew Jimmy have passed. A young Mike Tyson knew Jacobs. Tyson, who for a boxer knows a great deal about the sport could offer good details on Jacobs.

Jacobs was an avid fight collector who always wanted to see a Harry Greb film. When he passed, I think Bill Clayton took control of the fight collection, then sold it to ESPN. I'm not even sure if ESPN knows what they own.

There is no mystery about where Jacob's money came from. Early on Cayton bank rolled his searches for film that took him all over the world and later on they made enough money that Jacobs had his own.

ESPN knows exactly what is in their collection. It is completely catalogued and all on tape and has been for years.

There is mention of him in Tysons biography by Pwter Heller, ill have to read it up, but apparently he holds some sort of record, as being one of the greatest volleyball players ever

Jacobs was obsessed about creating the perfect record for Mike Tyson and he behaved like a spoilt child on air when it looked like ferguson had ruined TYsons knockout streak with a disqualification. Behaving like a scorned woman Jacobs even got the result changed! He then insulted Jesse for not trying to fight even though Jesse had been game.

Ferguson had not held anymore than was normal for a fighter who was trying to clear his head when he was disqualified. "If the fighter dosnt want to fight he is hard to beat, he had no intention of fighting or trying to win at all" It was like he was outraged Jesse did not leave himself defenceless after he'd had his nose broken and had took a beating in round 5. It had been quite competative but AFter boasting that he would get 20 more fights that year for Tyson jimmy said "I will never be able to find the quality of fighter of a Jesse Ferguson but I will find competent proffesional opponents who try to fight" Ferguson stood beside him as he said all this.
