This guy is a great MC at the boxing. I was worried that we were going to get Mark. Burdis. but thankfully JLJ was brought over by warren.

He always gets me going with "IIITSS SHOWTIME!!!!!!!!!!!"

I agree, he did he an ace job of announcing Degale-Groves result, built up the already huge tension to an almost unbearable degree

He and Joe Martinez are the best behind Buffer, tied for second place.

    Diamante in third .

My heart was in my mouth when they showed Mitchell and Murray facing off in the ring just before the fight and you could see Mark...Burdis poised with intent behind them.

It really would have been something else if Jimmy Lennon Jr did the undercard only for Mark...Burdis to take over for the main event!

Buffer's 'Let's get ready to rumble!' is not as good as it used to be (trills the 'r's too much).

But they're both quality, only little problem is that Lennon Jnr announces the type of decision before the scorecards, so it's obvious if it were a draw.

I don't know who Mark Burdis is, but I'm guessing from the way everyone writes his name on here he's the monotone bloke who pauses. between words. and injects no sense of hype to precedings what. soever.

Much prefer him to buffer actually, think he does does a better job of building suspense and manages to talk for about 30 seconds introducing a fighter all the while still going up in vocal tone. The pair of them are head and shoulders above the rest.

Buffer seems slightly WWE eqsue (Yes I know he has done that). A little too corny for my taste

Jimmy was fantastic for Haye v Ruiz.

    "Iiiiiiiiit's showtime!!! :p" isn't corny? :huh

If you want pure no-nonsense professionalism (to go with a great voice and mic generalship) - Joe Martinez is the man.
