Sorry if this has already been discussed. Has anybody read this one? How does it compare to the other McLarnin bios. Thanks a whole lot! Gentleman Should be Fighters by Des Corry: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/14...rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=1970566762&pf_rd_i=desktop
"The Story of Jimmy McLarnin, Canada's Greatest Boxer" That is a ****ing disgraceful claim. That's more than enough reason to never buy this book.
Did he duck him though. Klaveren was talked about more as an opponent after he beat Garcia in their second fight, but really soon after that he had a close one and a very decisive loss to Corbett III at middleweight who McLarnin had previously KO'd in 1, While McLarnin sat on the shelf for a while being at 1-1 vs Ross and his next fight would be their rubber match. I haven't looked into this one too much before but there seemed to only be a small window for this fight to come off
