This one was mooted after McLarnin beat Corbett III. What sort of chance do you give McLarnin versus the bigger man? Jimmy was known, perhaps unfairly, for picking on smaller guys...certainly management wasn't keen on his stepping up to the bigger division. But Corbett himself did it with some success. Do you think McLarnin could have beaten Dundee and added the MW title?
a lot would depend on if mclarnin`s power would travel up in weight. i think he had the boxing skill not to have to rely on his power but considering he had already moved up a lot in weight through his career it might be a bridge to far.but i would not want to bet against mclarnin
Sorry McGrain. This is quite an interesting match up, admittadly I cant remember much about Dundee of the top of my head but McLarnin had a fairly aggresive style and was not too hard to find, although he could punch. Also he liked to use his strength in the ring, so that would probbaly be taking away from him, but Dundee was not in his calibre of fighters IMO.
