Nice find. I searched for Wilde films but couldn't find this. Two more Wilde videos: http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=29247 http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=29286
As I see these films of past greats who fought from 1890's to 1920's doing sparring and boxing demos in the 20+ years past their active boxing days, my conclusion is strengthen. The old films from 1890-1920 only give us a general idea of the fighters capability. It amazes me how much better the same fighters who were often 20+ years past their prime look on clearer and up close film from the 1920's to 1950's. I'd like to see if some of the more modern oriented posters of the classic section who generally do not think Old timers look good on film agree with this assessment. Seamus, what do you think?
