At a catchweight, just below Flyweight. if these two great lower weight fighters had met. Who would prevail? 15 Rounds.

i think Jimmmy would get it as he is my no. 1 fly ever

but it wouldnt be complete one way traffice but i think wildes skills and power would earn him a UD over 15 or a late KO

Very hard fight to call. Lopez was not only a modern day HOF fighter, he's the best fly or straw I've ever seen. Lopez was a scientific puncher who laid guys out in sensational fashion, even more so that a prime Mike Tyson.

Wilde also had great power, was faster than Lopez, but more wide open to punches, partly due to his style. So maybe Lopez has a style advantage, even if Wilde is greater.

I can not pick a winner here.

Wilde vs. Lopez - One of the grestest flyweights of all-time vs. one of the grestest Strawweights-Flyweights of all time. Perfection vs. MASSIVE power... tough one, I'd say draw.

I think Wilde has a style advantage. Aggressive swarmer with speed should trump a technical puncher, when you toss in Wild's unpredictability, i'd say styles edge towards Wilde. The point is that Wilde is open. I think it will be Lopez early or Wilde otherwise.

But i'm not picking a winner either.

wilde is not really a 112 guy...he fought slightly below 108..so again there are almost the same weight in their prime

Lopez had one punch power as well. He was also a perfect technician.

Wilde was a lot like Henry Arnstrong, swarmer with KILLER power in either fist.

Like I said, Wilde's power is nothing to sneeze at, I'd still say draw or undecided.

    Tough one.

But I agree with McGrain that Wilde could well have a style advantage. Alvarez was able to offset a lot of Lopez's technical superiority with his style and decked him aswell. Lopez fought a little within himself after he got tagged and if Jimmy hit him it would be even more painful.

Jimmy's ability to roll with much bigger fighters indicates to me that Lopez's own amazing power wouldnt be quite the equaliser many might think.

Just havent seen enough of Jimmy to make the call...If you have seen enough of Lopez you are generally in awe which makes this a hard one for me.
