Fair point trying to read up a lot more on my history at the moment im aware of all the big names and their achievements but i thought it was time for myself to become a proper historian. So the book collecting has begun and all possible sources of info and opinion are being tapped

Icemax; I think the walker law made refs mandatory.

    Nope.

There is a ref in that fight.

He is the most 'modern' fighter I have seen from that era. Such a classy operater, my favrouite welsh fighter.

    Good luck pal.

Nope, there is already a ref there.

Back in those days a British referee stayed outside the ring, not inside as we are used to now. Not sure when it changed.

Anyway, Wilde is one of the most dominant Flyweight rulers there has ever been.

Cheers Greg, but shouldn't you be shagging birds rather than reading dusty old boxing books?

Greg; I knew there was a ref, I think the Walker Law MIGHT have made it mandatory for them to be in the ring for all fights.

Then again I might be wrong :good

Walker Law was the American Law allowing professional fights again. I have a book on this so I'll check it if we cant agree,

Didnt think the Walker Lawhad any effect over here. I would have thought Britain joining the NBA or some such would have influenced it.

The Walker Law was American. As Greg says, it had no direct effect over here.
