I guess it depends on how Jimmy deals with Corrie’s southpaw style and fast hands. Also if sanders is in proper shape to go the distance while being the constant aggressor. Not sure who takes this.
Let's pitch a light hitting points guy against a much bigger guy with faster hands, great accuracy and devastating power and see who wins. Young had decent upper body movement but that wouldn't help him against Sanders' body punches which were thunderous and which he liked to use against the slippery guys. In case there's any doubt: Sanders knocks him out.
Oh, you mean sort of like darting in and out to score points without getting tagged? It worked really well for Sean Hart: This content is protected
Peralta tried the same style Young beat Foreman with and got stopped. Quality matters alongside style, it’s not only about style.
This is more a blind contrarian response than a reasoned technical argument, but: If Byrd had faced Sanders, Byrd probably would have been the favorite. Then again, you may rate Byrd significantly above Young, which -- fair enough.
I would have no problem backing Sanders against Byrd to be honest. I've watched a lot of Sanders fights against cuties and he absolutely lights up their bodies. He's a very under appreciated body puncher.
