Mentioning the Rahman fight isn’t cherry picking a fight, it’s not like he was green then, he was 34 and it was several years before his best performance, and he was the same weight in the Rahman fight, there was nothing wrong with him in that fight, he did what he does, couldn’t get Rahman out of there, and gassed, which is one of his prevalent weaknesses.
Proof that you are unaware of the circumstances that torpedoed Sanders' preparation for that fight. He gassed because he did zero roadwork and almost no sparring for the Rahman bout. That's because his knee was shot. And this is also irrelevant because you couldn't find two fighters more dissimilar than Young and Rahman. Rahman won because he weighed 240lb of muscle and he hit like a F'ing truck ... more or less the opposite of Young. Gassing an opponent out is one thing, you need to be able to exploit it too.
Rahman from the Sanders fight was also unbeatable, so he can't be used to mount an argument that a lesser fighter could beat Sanders. It's an undeniable fact that Sanders-fight-Rahman never lost a fight, and was undefeated against other contenders.
Quite correct. Rahman then went on to beat Lewis, confirming his unbeatability. But after that fight Rahman lost interest in boxing and was off his peak. He was never the same again. Facts.
