Most of you will be aware these are my two favourite fighters and I rarely say a bad word about either.

Both make my top 100 hw list.

But how do you see them against each other over 15 rounds?

Young was no ball of fire. Walcott wins easily.

Two of my favorites as well!

I would love to have seen this one. Unfortunately, I think they would have found a way to screw both them.

very cagey fight and how would it play out. Would Walcott become the aggressor because of his tremendous edge in power? Would Young take advantage of the aggression and counter punch. I think a little of both but I think Joe finds the holes enough to put Young down or hurt and play his way to a close decision over the crafty young. Both men bring a bag of tricks but Walcott had very serious power and that is the difference here.

We immediately know he's trying to deceive people into believe Mr. Young has a chance. Luf has Walcott in his top 15 HW of all time... Jimmy isn't even in his top 50. He basically made a spite thread against Jimmy and for Walcott. I like it :good

Some would argue Jersey never beat a man as good as Foreman

Jimmy Young was Walcott without the punch and self-discipline. Walcott was trickier, smarter, fitter, faster, more dedicated and much more dangerous. Walcott would stop Young.

Nah,..you had to have quite a bit of discipline & control to base your entire modus operendi on slickness and defense...the self control is evidently tremendous. Youir low rating of Young is a common fault in this forum and highly ridiculous.
