Dont see this as a KO.Two underrated heavies. Both solid for years. But I remember young as the man who gave Ali fits and put the finisher to George Foremans first career. Also thought he well beat Ken Norton.Stopped Richard Dunn,at the time a handfull.A good pairing,Shake, but Young on points for me.
Of course there would be no ko..Young wouldn't even try, and if a half blind old past it Young never gets phased by a young Gerry Cooney, then how in the hell could Ruiz ko him?
Ruiz didn't flaunt his skills; they were subtle and not obvious to the neophyte. He was immensely skilled and offered a seamless combination of offense and defense, shifting effortlessly between the two. Oh, something to behold. Ruiz ate up slick fighters.
